Tradewinds began A300 freighter service in
1999 when it needed to supplement its long-running L1011-1 freighter. The A300
fleet expanded to eight B-4 models and finally completely supplanted the
Tristars. Tradewinds is operating the A300 within the United States and into the
Caribbean islands and also in intra-Asian service adding needed lift to domestic
and international operators based there. It has proven to be the most economical
and reliable aircraft in its class.
