About Us
Begin
TradeWinds
Airlines, Inc. is a certificated United States part 121 Air Carrier
headquartered at the Triad International Airport in Greensboro, North Carolina. We
operate a fleet of A300-B4F and B747-200F freighter aircraft mostly in ACMI
services for Domestic and Foreign customers. TradeWinds
also conducts International and US Domestic on-demand charter operations.
Our current market of operations expands from the United States and South
America, to Europe, the Caribbean, Central and North Asia and Mainland China.
Our success can be measured by our controlled fleet expansion and growing
long term International customer base.

History
TradeWinds
Airlines has operated continuously since 1968 when it started with Constellation
freighters carrying textile products for its parent company at the time. We
expanded our operation by replacing the Connies with Canadair CL-44 turboprop
freighters. During this conversion,
we also obtained our initial Part 121 operating certificate. By
1991 TradeWinds had grown its fleet into a modern wide-body operation and began
service with the first L-1011 Tristar to be converted to cargo configuration. The
L-1011 became the sole fleet type until 1999 when
we launched a successful implementation of the A300-B4
freighter aircraft.
By 2004 we had expanded the A300-B4 operation to eight units working in
the Caribbean, US Domestic market, and for a growing number of International
customers in Asia, including Mainland China.
Reacting to International demand, in 2004 TradeWinds again diversified
its fleet and entered into the B747-200F Freighter arena.
Today, TradeWinds has a growing fleet of B747-200F aircraft operating for
a diverse International customer base in Asia, South America and Europe.

Future Goals
TradeWinds
plans to follow the route of our past successes and grow our company in a
calculated and controlled manner to meet the demands of the diverse and often
changing International market place.
We expect to continue with ACMI operations around the world and grow our
International Charter and common carriage operations.
Future fleet expansion plans call for the A300-600F and the B747-400F.
